Surface grinders are used in many applications, but warpage occurs during grinding. To better solve this problem, the following methods can be used:
First: When grinding the above-mentioned sheet workpiece on a surface grinder, the elastic clamping arrangement is selected to complete the positioning and clamping of the sheet workpiece in a free state. A layer of 0.5 mm thick rubber is placed between the workpiece and the magnetic working table. When the workpiece is subjected to a magnetic attraction effect, the rubber is tightened, the elastic deformation becomes small, and then the flat plane of the workpiece can be ground. Repeated grinding a few times to meet the processing accuracy needs.
Second: the epoxy bonding agent is used to adhere the sheet workpiece to a flat plate in a free state. The plate is placed on the magnetic chuck together with the sheet. After flattening one end of the sheet, the sheet workpiece is removed from the flat plate, the flattened side is placed on the magnetic chuck, and the plane grinder grinds the other end plane of the sheet workpiece. Since the epoxy resin is fluid before it is hardened, it can fill the open space between the sheet workpiece and the flat plate. When the epoxy resin is hardened, the workpiece and the flat plate are bonded together to form a unit, and then the rigidity of the workpiece is greatly enhanced. Under the magnetic attraction, the sheet workpiece does not undergo clamping deformation, and the condition for grinding the flat plane is clarified. Thick grease can also be used instead of epoxy to fill the open space between the sheet workpiece and the magnetic chuck, which enhances the rigidity of the workpiece and can receive excellent results.
Third: Using the flat-nose pliers in the surface grinder attachment, the sheet workpiece is sucked by the small flat-nose pliers by the magnetic working table. Since the flat-nose pliers have a certain height, the jaws are subject to small magnetic force. Use a method of gradually reducing the feed amount to smooth the flat surface of the sheet workpiece and then remove it. At this time, put the ground surface on the magnetic work table, and then grind the other surface of the sheet workpiece, and repeat the grinding several times. The flatness of the two planes is needed for arrival.
Fourth: The surface grinder uses the atmospheric pressure to clamp the sheet workpiece for grinding.
